Becoming an accredited exam centre
The Deutschzentrum KAGEDEV (DZK) has for several years prepared learners for official German as a foreign language certifications, and now wishes to take a further step: becoming an officially accredited exam centre with TestDaF, ÖSD and telc, in order to award these certifications directly in Cameroon.
Our experience
- Since 2017: DZK has supported learners in learning German as a foreign language.
- Presence in multiple cities: active centres in Douala, Yaoundé and Bafoussam.
- Preparation for official exams already in place: our teachers prepare learners for Goethe-Institut, ÖSD and ECL certifications as part of our regular courses.
- Non-profit association structure, affiliated with KAGEDEV e.V., an association registered in Germany (Leonberg).
A qualified, named teaching team
DZK relies on an experienced teaching team whose qualifications are verifiable (degrees, continuing education, certifications):
- Paul Zangue — Director of Deutschzentrum KAGEDEV since 2018, over 25 years of teaching experience, Master's in teaching German as a Foreign Language (Pädagogische Hochschule Yaoundé), certified trainer by the Goethe-Institut, German level C1.
- Alvine Djene — Head of pedagogy, over 20 years of experience, Master's in translation (DE-EN-FR), DIPES II, German level C1, ensures programme compliance with international standards (CEFR, Goethe, ÖSD).
- Sylvie Madjo Nchoutpouen — DaF teacher since 2019, 18 years of experience, DIPES II (École Normale Supérieure de Yaoundé I), prepares learners for the Goethe, ÖSD and ECL exams.
- Brice Tchoukwain — DaF teacher since 2019, Master's in Germanistik (University of Yaoundé I), regular continuing education under the international Deutsch Lehren Lernen (DLL) programme.
- Metsa Sob — DaF teacher since 2023, PASCH scholarship holder from the Goethe-Institut, D-SLAM competition winner (DAAD).

- Non-profit association, registered in Germany (KAGEDEV e.V., Leonberg) and holding an administrative authorisation to operate in Cameroon (Decree No. 000002/A/MINAT/SG/SAP/SDLP/SA/CBA of 24 January 2017).

Our approach with certification bodies
We are currently compiling our application file with TestDaF-Institut, ÖSD and telc gGmbH to become an accredited exam centre. This page will be updated as this process progresses (dedicated infrastructure, capacity, designated exam officer).
