German course Level B1 - CEFR

General objective

Acquire the ability to communicate autonomously in German, understand various texts and express oneself more precisely in common and professional situations.

Duration and organization

• Number of weeks: 10 weeks in intensive format (Monday to Friday).
• Total hours : about 120 hours.

Specific objectives

• Listening comprehension: : Understand the main points of a conversation or clear speech on familiar topics (work, study,hobbies ).
• Reading comprehension: : Read simple and authentic texts (short articles, emails, announcements).
• Oral expression : : Décrire des expériences, donner son opinion, expliquer ses projets.
• Written expression: : Write simple and coherent texts (emails, messages, descriptions).

• Vocabulary : daily life, work, travel, media, opinions.
• Grammar :
  • Past tense (Präteritum, Perfekt), future
  • subordinates (weil, dass, wenn)
  • comparatives and superlatives
• Culture : social and cultural aspects of German-speaking countries

Methods and tools

• Communicative and interactive approach.
• Role-playing, debates, presentations
• Multimedia supports (audio, video, e-learning).
• Continuous assessment + final test (Goethe/ÖSD standards).
