Metsa Sob

Madame Metsa is a young dynamic teacher specialized in the teaching of German as a foreign language (DaF) at the Burgundy Centre for Language Studies DZK in Yaoundé, where she has been practicing since November 2023. She stands out for her pedagogical commitment and her ability to integrate interactive approaches into learning.

Holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Germanistik (literature) and currently in a Master’s degree in Germanistik at the University of Yaoundé I, she has a solid academic background complemented by varied experiences in project coordination and workshop facilitation.She won the first prize in the D-SLAM competition organized by the DAAD in 2022 and benefited from a scholarship program of the Goethe-Institut (PASCH) for a language stay in Germany in 2018.

Within the DZK, its missions include:

• The preparation and conduct of German courses for different levels.
• Coordination of group work and presentations.
• The evaluation of language skills of learners.
• The integration of digital tools and the maintenance of computer equipment.

Madame Metsa is recognized for her communication skills, her leadership and her associative commitment, having held positions such as vice-president of the Germanistenkreis, university delegate, and president of the Deutschklub at the high school. She is fluent in French (C2), German (advanced level) and English, and has advanced digital skills (Microsoft Office, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop).

Author of the collective collection "Vogelfrei" (2022), she combines creativity and pedagogical rigor, actively contributing to the promotion of the German language and culture in Cameroon.
